It has a production of about 500 gr. per stock. A respectful agriculture with nature, following the principles of biodynamics with manual labor and natural fertilizers.
Surrounded by enviable views, the vineyard enjoys a Mediterranean climate. Plenty of sunshine and fresh air since there are no factories at all in the vicinity. The soil is deep, with a sandy clay loam texture, with limestone subsoil.
Juan Manuel Vetas, born in Avila at an young age immigrated to France with his parents where from an early age he gets in contact with the wine world. Working in several Châteaux du Medoc (France) acquired a vast experience in growing vines and warehouse management.
In the early 90s he returned to Spain and settled in Andalusia, to be more exactly Ronda, by the hand of Sacha Lichine’s Château Prieuré Lichine in its desire to join Prince Alfonso with the intention of planting vineyards and making red wine in Andalusia. This way Juan Manuel Vetas becomes the pioneer of the red wines in Ronda and the architect to realize this Project in Andalusia. With his tenacity and sensitivity to the elements did not take long to get the wine from Cortijo de Las Monjas to climb the podium of the best wines of Spain with national and international medals.
With the new millennium Juan Manuel Vetas starts a new adventure; decides to have his own vineyard and winery on his farm. Surrounding his house plants vines and it is also where the winery is located. Instantly creates a new trend alter he creates his own wine and people around decides too create its own wineries.
